Welcome to the Official Website of Otter Lake Water District

Our Mission

At Otter Lake Water District, we are committed to providing safe, high quality water services to our community, while maintaining a standard of excellence in customer service and environmental conservation.

Billing

Otter Lake Water District Ratepayers are billed annually through your Municipal taxes with the Municipality of Spallumcheen.  This will include an annual tax of $425.00.

The Board of Trustees have passed Tolls By-law 170 to increase the base rate for domestic homeowners to $550 per year.  This will include 365m3 of water.  Any other water usage will be billed at $1.90 for the next 365m3 and $2.50 for anything over and above.

Industrial or agricultural users will pay a base rate of $1000 which will include 1000m3 of water.  Anything over and above that usage will be charged at $1.25 per m3.

The increase for the tax rate this year is due to not enough being collected for the amortization of our system.  The Board of Trustees felt it should pass Bylaw 166 to increase the taxes by $100. It's a small step, but an important one.
